POMPANO BEACH, FL – A 24-year-old assistant athletic director at a local Christian school has been arrested, accused of engaging in sexual misconduct with two students. The Broward Sheriff’s Office reports that Robinson Xavier allegedly molested a student as recently as last Wednesday at Highland Christian Academy.
Parents of students at the Deerfield Beach school expressed outrage upon learning of Xavier’s arrest. One parent, who preferred to remain anonymous, shared that her child recounted a friend’s experience of inappropriate touching by the coach.
Xavier appeared before a Broward County judge on Tuesday, facing multiple charges, including lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 16. He remained silent during the proceedings.
According to the arrest report, Xavier advised a student on altering her clothing to accentuate her body before allegedly groping her. The student reportedly fled to a bathroom, where another victim described a similar encounter involving Xavier.
Both students reported their experiences to the school principal, with one girl visibly upset following the disclosure. In response, the school terminated Xavier’s employment and barred him from the campus.
Xavier is currently held on a $75,000 bond. Should he post bail, he is prohibited from accessing Broward schools, must avoid contact with minors, and will be monitored via GPS.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with additional information or potential victims to come forward.
