On Tuesday, a corpse discovered in a shallow grave was identified as a kindergarten teacher from New Jersey. The woman was considered missing after missing work the previous day with no warning.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has issued a press release stating that the death of Luz Hernandez is considered “suspicious.” The cause and manner of death are yet to be determined by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
On February 7th, the body of this 33-year-old teacher was discovered in what seemed to be a shallow burial site in Kearny. The authorities declared her dead at the scene around 5 PM.
The mother of three, Hernandez, was reported missing on the 6th of February after she failed to appear for her job at BelovED Charter School located in Jersey City. Consequently, classes were canceled on the 8th of February.
Jersey City police officers conducted a welfare check at her home on Feb. 7 before being led to the industrial area where her body was found, authorities said.
