Doctor shot and killed while walking to his car

WOODLAND HILLS, CA – Devastating news emerged from Woodland Hills on Friday night, as a neighborhood doctor was killed in a shooting incident. Police are yet to apprehend the suspect who fired the shots.

The victim was identified as Hamid Mirshojae, a 61-year-old doctor associated with the Warner Plaza Medical Center on Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Oxnard Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Mirshojae was shot by an unidentified suspect as he was walking to his car around 5:34 p.m.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots before discovering Mirshojae’s body on the ground. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the site. The assailant reportedly fled the scene in an unidentified direction.

Numerous patients described Mirshojae as a compassionate professional dedicated to the well-being of others. A memorial continues to grow outside the clinic, where relatives, friends, and patients have been leaving flowers and candles in remembrance of Mirshojae.

The motive behind the tragic shooting remains a mystery. LAPD’s Valley Bureau officers are urging any individuals with knowledge on the incident to contact them.
