HOUSTON, TX – A fatal incident unfolded in the Alief neighborhood of Houston late Wednesday night, leaving one man dead and two others on the run. According to local authorities, the trio is believed to have forcibly entered an apartment on the 9700 block of Leawood Boulevard.
The tenant, who was home during the intrusion, reportedly found himself in a violent confrontation with the intruders. The clash, which police suspect was a targeted attack, escalated into a shootout. The chaos of the night left one man fatally injured, while the other two suspects managed to flee the scene.
A man identifying himself as the tenant’s father recounted the harrowing experience. He shared that his son had called him at approximately 10:30 p.m., expressing fear as the intruders attempted to break down his door. Despite being at work, the father advised his son to seek immediate help from a friend.
The friend arrived just in time to intervene, aiding the tenant in escaping the grasp of the attackers. In the ensuing struggle, one of the suspects dropped a firearm, which the tenant managed to use to defend himself.
