Hooters manager running for mayor

LAKELAND, FL – A 24-year-old woman is making waves in local politics as she enters the race to become Lakeland’s next mayor. Caitlyn Gracie Kramer, a native of the city and a graduate of Bartow High School, is one of the youngest candidates in the running. Her unique background sets her apart from typical political contenders.

Kramer, who currently manages and bartends at Hooters, attributes her work experience to her personal growth and achievements. “Hooters has been instrumental in my life,” she said. “It allowed me to buy my house at 20 and fund my education.” She recently earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of South Florida.

Her candidacy is driven by a desire to redefine leadership. “Leadership isn’t just about titles; it’s about hard work, grit, and listening to the community,” Kramer explained. Her campaign focuses on being a voice for younger generations who often feel underrepresented in local governance.

Among her top priorities are improving infrastructure, addressing flooding and traffic issues, and ensuring water quality. Kramer is also passionate about finding solutions to affordable housing challenges, emphasizing the importance of listening to the working class.

Kramer is set to host a campaign rally at Hooters on US Highway 98 North, starting at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow. This event marks a significant step in her campaign as she seeks to engage with voters directly.

The upcoming elections will not only determine the next mayor but also fill two commission seats. Kramer’s entry into the race highlights a shift in local political dynamics, attracting attention for its fresh perspective and youthful energy.

As the election date approaches, Kramer’s campaign continues to gain momentum, focusing on community engagement and addressing pressing local issues. Her journey from a local business manager to a mayoral candidate reflects a commitment to serving Lakeland’s diverse population.
