LAS VEGAS, NV – Authorities in Las Vegas have apprehended a man suspected of committing two violent assaults, and they are urging any additional victims or witnesses to come forward. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old C.S. Asencio, was arrested last week and now faces several charges, including kidnapping and assault.
The investigation commenced on December 20 when a woman reported to University Medical Center that she had been sexually assaulted. According to her account, Asencio offered her a ride near Las Vegas Boulevard and Charleston but instead took her to his residence, where he allegedly attacked her. After the assault, he reportedly drove her back to Charleston Boulevard.
A second incident was reported by another woman who claimed that on January 7, Asencio picked her up near Charleston and Fremont. She alleged that he assaulted her at his home using brass knuckles. In a disturbing revelation, she said Asencio boasted about having photos and videos of other women, referring to her as “the first of 2025.”
Both women described being threatened with a firearm and provided police with descriptions of nearby street signs, landmarks, and the vehicle Asencio was allegedly driving. One of the women was able to identify Asencio in a police lineup, which contributed to his arrest.
Asencio is currently held at the Clark County Detention Center with bail set at $500,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
Las Vegas authorities are appealing to the public for further information. They urge anyone who might have been affected by these incidents or has relevant details to contact the Metro Police or Crime Stoppers. Investigators are hopeful that more individuals will come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation and ensure justice is served.
