FORT COLLINS, CO – Authorities in Larimer County have arrested a Fort Collins man accused of abducting a young girl and holding her against her will for nearly five months. The suspect, Maximilian Brushku, is facing a series of charges, including kidnapping, child abuse, and harboring a minor, following his apprehension last week.
The arrest was a collaborative effort between Fort Collins police and the SWAT team, who located Brushku in the vicinity where the girl was allegedly kept. According to police, Brushku rented a vehicle in December and traveled to Missouri, where he is accused of kidnapping the girl and bringing her back to Colorado.
The girl was reportedly confined in a residence on the 800 block of Warren Landing. Authorities allege that Brushku forced her to work for his snow removal business, Foco Snow Go, while concealing her identity and age by making her wear a mask.
