LAS VEGAS, NV – Nathan Nguyen, owner of Nail Palace in Las Vegas, was brutally assaulted inside his salon last Sunday. The incident reportedly happened after he denied a woman’s request to use the salon’s restroom.
The woman had initially entered the salon, situated two miles from the Las Vegas Strip, requesting a pedicure. Apparently, her main intention was to use the restroom, which Nguyen refused. In response, she shattered a plant as she exited the shop.
She later came back with three individuals who attacked Nguyen inside his salon. A video recording of the assault shows the trio physically assaulting Nguyen for nearly a minute. They continually kicked and punched him as he tried to protect himself, lying on the floor.
Nguyen expressed his distress to reporters, questioning why people would harm him in this manner when he had done nothing wrong. After the brutal beating, bystanders at a neighboring business recorded the suspects escaping in a red sedan on their cell phones.
Another distressing video shows Nguyen sprawled on a couch inside his establishment, gasping for air, blood covering the floor. Nick Hardman, Nguyen’s partner and co-owner of the salon, compared the scene to a horror movie.
As of now, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have yet to identify any suspects involved in the attack. Despite this violent incident, data shows that aggravated assaults in the Las Vegas metro area decreased by 5% in 2023. Meanwhile, arrests for violent crimes, such as aggravated assault, criminal homicide, rape, and robbery, increased by 7%.
