Speeding driver crashes through child’s bedroom

CENTER LINE, MI – A nine-year-old girl is recovering in the hospital after a speeding vehicle crashed into her home early Monday morning. The incident occurred on MacArthur in O’Hare, shocking the quiet neighborhood.

Authorities report that the impact of the crash propelled the young girl, who was asleep at the time, through her bedroom window and into the front yard. The driver attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended a short distance away. The individual is now in custody facing charges.

The SUV plowed into the house, narrowly missing the room of a 22-month-old baby by only a few feet. The crash occurred just before 3 a.m. as the family slept, with the force of the collision sending the girl flying and leaving her buried under debris.
