ARLINGTON, TX – Authorities have dismantled a human trafficking operation at a local gentleman’s club, arresting two managers in a significant multi-agency effort. The crackdown, part of Operation Safe Stage, aimed to disrupt criminal activities and send a strong message ahead of next year’s major sporting event.
Investigators revealed that Chicas Locas was not just a club but a hub for sex trafficking and drug deals. Employees were allegedly performing illegal sex acts for money, with proceeds distributed among the management. Two managers, Osiel Ramos, 25, and Ariel Tapia, 40, were charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution.
During the operation, police also detained two patrons. Oscar Escobar, 28, was arrested on outstanding warrants, while Alejandro Hernandez, 50, faced charges related to a gun violation and drug possession. Authorities seized cash, digital devices, and evidence of drug sales from the establishment.
This operation highlights a community-wide issue, with police emphasizing the collective effort needed to combat such crimes. Nonprofit organizations, including Rescue Hill, are involved in rehabilitating the victims, with more than a dozen women receiving support.
Rescue Hill emphasizes the importance of post-operation care, helping survivors stabilize and begin their healing journey. This initiative underscores the ongoing commitment to address human trafficking and protect vulnerable individuals.
As preparations for the upcoming World Cup intensify, law enforcement is keenly aware that major events can attract criminal activities. The groundwork is being laid to ensure the safety of the community and visitors alike.
Police are reviewing the club’s liquor license, but it remains operational. Efforts to contact the establishment for comment have been unsuccessful.
