Three Family Members Found Dead Inside Their Home, Potential Suspect Also Dead

Three members of the Mattson family from Fish Lake Township, Minnesota, were found dead on March 5. The suspect who is believed to be responsible for the murders has also been found dead.

The authorities had been alerted after a wellness check, where they found the bodies of Darrell and Denise Mattson, along with their son, Kirk, who had been deceased for at least a day.

The authorities had found another body the previous day, which is believed to be the suspect. The motive of the attack is unknown, but the authorities believe it was not a random act.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is collaborating with the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the violence. The incident has shocked the local community.

A fundraising page has been created on GoFundMe to help raise funds for the deceased family’s funeral expenses. The couple left behind two surviving adult children, Kent and Kami.

In a statement, the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office conveyed their “sincere condolences to the Mattson family and all those affected by this recent tragedy.” They also promised to solve the crime in their efforts toward the investigation.

The authorities have not released any details about the suspect’s identity or cause of death, and it’s unclear if they are looking at any other suspects in connection with the murders.
