FOREST HILLS, NY – A serene Sunday evening in Forest Hills was shattered by gunfire, leaving a teenager dead and police searching for three suspects. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. near 63rd Drive and the Grand Central Parkway.
When officers arrived, they discovered 19-year-old Jean Reels with a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite being rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Reels succumbed to his injuries. Residents of this typically quiet neighborhood expressed shock and disbelief at the violence.
