Two teens killed at Halloween party

CHULA VISTA, CA – Authorities in Chula Vista are delving into a tragic Halloween night incident that left two teenagers dead. The police are actively seeking assistance from the community to identify those responsible for the shooting.

The fatal event unfolded at a residence on East Prospect Street, near Judson Way. Officers responded to reports of gunfire late Friday night and discovered a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite the officers’ immediate life-saving efforts, both teenagers were pronounced dead after being transported to UCSD Medical Center. The incident reportedly began with an argument at a Halloween party, which escalated into gunfire.

A local resident, who requested anonymity, expressed shock over the violence, noting that the neighborhood is typically quiet. “This is very rare for our neighborhood,” they said, emphasizing that crime is uncommon in the area.

The Chula Vista police are currently working to identify witnesses and potential suspects. Investigators suspect that some party attendees may have captured the altercation on their phones and are urging anyone with video or security footage to come forward.
