MIAMI, FL – A chilling incident unfolded in southwest Miami-Dade, where a 29-year-old man is in custody, accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend in the presence of her young daughter. The suspect, identified as Jose N’orth, faces multiple charges following the gruesome discovery.
Days before the tragic event, tensions reportedly flared between N’orth and the victim, 24-year-old Maria Garcia Molina, during an argument at Dolphin Mall. The altercation was allegedly sparked by Molina’s potential new romantic interest. On the following Saturday, the unsettling chain of events came to light when neighbors noticed Molina’s three-year-old daughter wandering alone in the neighborhood.
The sight of the child, visibly marked with what appeared to be dry blood on her face and clothing, prompted residents to alert authorities. Police responded to the Twin Lakes complex shortly before 4 p.m., leading to the discovery of Molina’s lifeless body inside an SUV parked in a visitor space.
Investigators found the body wrapped in blankets on the rear floorboard of the vehicle. The victim had sustained multiple sharp force injuries to her neck, torso, and upper extremities. The little girl, in a harrowing revelation, informed investigators that her mother was with “Joy” and had been struck on the head before she “went to sleep.”
Family members revealed a history of disturbing behavior from N’orth, including incidents of stalking and a prior temporary restraining order against him. According to court documents, N’orth returned to the crime scene past midnight, where investigators noticed scratches on his arms, face, and neck. He claimed he had come to return Molina’s belongings after meeting her earlier that day.
N’orth is now facing serious charges, including second-degree murder and child abuse. The incident has left the local community in shock, grappling with the disturbing details of the case.
