SACRAMENTO, Calif. — An 18-year-old man was stabbed early Sunday in Sacramento’s Midtown neighborhood and was expected to survive as police continued investigating the attack and searching for a suspect.
Sacramento police responded shortly after 2 a.m. Aug. 23 to the 1100 block of 21st Street after receiving a report that someone had been stabbed. Officers found the injured man and arranged for him to be taken to an area hospital. Police said he was in stable condition.
The stabbing happened near 21st and K streets in Midtown. Authorities had not publicly identified the victim as of Sunday, and police had not released details about what led to the attack.
Investigators also had not released a name or description of a possible suspect. Early reports from police provided no suspect information, while later local reporting said officers were continuing to search for the person responsible.
