Teens Arrested For Armed Burglary Crime Spree

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) has arrested two teenagers after they allegedly committed a string of armed burglaries in Hayden, Idaho.

Around 3:45 a.m., Kootenai County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of two suspicious figures in of a neighborhood. They were checking car doors in one of the house’s driveways.

When deputies arrived, the two teen suspects fled. However, they later found the pair hiding in nearby bushes following a brief chase.

Upon being arrested, deputies found a loaded gun that had been stolen from a nearby vehicle. It was later discovered that at least 20 people in the area had been victimized by the teens’ actions.

The suspects were charged with several counts of burglary, theft, and weapons offenses.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has urged the public to secure their vehicles and ensure safe and proper storage of firearms. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of these burglaries is asked to contact the KCSO.
