Woman Shot While Driving Near Gas Station After Being Cut Off by the Shooter

A woman was injured in a shooting by a known person near a gas station in DeKalb County on Saturday.

The DeKalb County Police Department received reports of a person being shot in the early morning hours and dispatched officers to the 2500 block of Columbia Drive, close to an Exxon gas station.

A 26-year-old woman was found shot, and she was taken to the hospital. Fortunately, her injuries were not severe or fatal.

When she was questioned by responding police officers, she told them that she knew the person that opened fire on her. She was cut off by this person while she was driving, and then that same person shot her after cutting her off.

DeKalb County Police Department Homicide Assault detectives responded immediately to the scene.

At this point, the police have not provided any additional information about the suspect or motive. As of now, there have been no further developments in the case.
