Amber Alert issued for missing sisters who might have been kidnapped by their grandma

An Amber Alert has been raised in McKinney, Texas for two little sisters who, according to the authorities, have been abducted by their grandmother from Collin County.

The alert was issued for 9-year-old Jessica Burns and the 6-year-old Jennifer Burns, and the police department of McKinney believes the young sisters may be in great peril.

Both of the girls are white. They have a fair complexion, blue eyes, and blond hair. Jessica is 4’10” and weighs 90 pounds, while Jennifer is 4 feet tall and weighs 60 pounds. Jennifer was last seen wearing glasses with purple frames.

The girls were seen last Thursday around 6 p.m. at a pizza restaurant in McKinney, while they were on a supervised visit with their non-custodial father. The father was arrested after the Amber Alert was issued, and Child Protective Services (CPS) currently has temporary custody of the sisters.

Police suspect that Jame Burns, the 60-year-old grandmother, has taken the girls. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs about 230 pounds and has blonde hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing dark-framed glasses, a red long-sleeve shirt with black sleeves, and blue jeans.

Additionally, it is believed that Jame Burns is driving a black SUV with a scratch on it, though the officials did not provide information about the make, model or license plate.
