Arrest made in connection to fatal shooting, second suspect still at large

Authorities have made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on April 5th. The U.S. Marshals Service apprehended Antonio J. Roland in Macomb County, Michigan, on Wednesday at around 10 a.m. His arrest was announced by the Huntington Police Department.

Roland has been charged with one count of murder and is currently awaiting extradition to Huntington. Meanwhile, the police have obtained an arrest warrant for a second suspect in the shooting that resulted in the death of 41-year-old Jermaine M. Johnson.

Johnson, a Huntington resident, was discovered on April 5 with multiple gunshot wounds in the 700 block of Marcum Terrace. Responding officers from the Huntington Police Department administered emergency first aid to Johnson before Cabell County EMS arrived on the scene.

Johnson was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The second suspect, identified as Rafael C. Solomon Jr., remains at large as investigators continue their efforts to locate him. The authorities are urging anyone with information on Solomon’s whereabouts or any additional details about the ongoing investigation to contact the Huntington Police Department.

As the case develops, the community hopes for the swift apprehension of the remaining suspect and justice for the victim and his loved ones.
