LOS ANGELES, CA – A heart-wrenching development has surfaced in the case of a body discovered in the trunk of a Tesla, linked to a well-known singer. Authorities have identified the remains as those of Celeste Rebus Hernandez, a 13-year-old who was reported missing over a year ago from Lake Elsinore.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the decomposing body, found in a tow yard, belonged to Hernandez. This revelation has left her family, who had been searching tirelessly, in deep sorrow. Her brother expressed the family’s anguish, describing the situation as surreal and devastating.
The Tesla, registered in Texas under the name Anthony Burke, the singer’s real name, was found abandoned in the Hollywood Hills. It was impounded after being reported wrecked and stationary. Investigators discovered the body on September 8, following reports of a foul odor emanating from the vehicle.
While police have yet to name a suspect, the investigation is ongoing. Hernandez’s mother mentioned that her daughter had a boyfriend named David, who had a distinctive tattoo similar to her daughter’s. This detail has drawn attention to the singer, who is expected to be thoroughly questioned by authorities.
Moses Castillo, a retired LAPD detective, emphasized the importance of tracing the singer’s timeline, examining cell phone records, and piecing together his whereabouts during the period surrounding Hernandez’s disappearance.
Despite the unfolding homicide investigation, the singer continued his tour. However, a scheduled performance in Seattle was recently canceled, raising questions about upcoming events, including a show at the Greek Theatre.
As the investigation progresses, the community remains on edge, hoping for justice and closure for the young girl’s family.
