Chipotle employee shot over guacamole argument

SOUTHFIELD, MI – A quarrel over guacamole erupted into a gunshot wound for a Chipotle employee in Southfield, Michigan. The fight, involving a 32-year-old customer, led to the employee being shot in the leg.

Witness Thomas Huber recounted the incident: “I was just eating a bowl and I heard shouting. And then I looked over, they’re arguing.” According to Huber, the worker went to the back of the store while the disgruntled customer attempted to bag his meal.

The situation escalated when the employee returned, which led to a physical altercation and, ultimately, a gunshot. “We heard a gunshot and just ran out as quick as we could.” Huber added.

Southfield police confirmed that the 21-year-old employee was quickly transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

The suspect, an unidentified Detroit man, calmly left the location following the shooting. Micahel Beales, who filmed the unusual fight, explained how the shooter calmly walked to his car, closed the door, and drove away without speeding. Beales noted that it was an odd sight to see.

Police later located the gunman near the scene, although potential charges have yet to be announced. Chipotle has yet to comment on the incident.
