Couple and 5-year-old son found fatally stabbed at home

BRONX COUNTY, NY – An evening of enjoyment quickly turned into a horrifying discovery as a couple and their young son were found stabbed to death in their Mott Haven apartment in The Bronx, shortly after the couple’s social media displayed a lively ‘paint and sip’ date night. Law enforcement is now considering the 19-year-old son of one of the deceased as a potential person of interest in this horrifying crime.

Just hours after Jonathan Rivera and his girlfriend Hanoi Peralta shared their jovial date on social media, Rivera, Peralta, and their 5-year-old son Kayden Rivera, were discovered with fatal stab injuries in their apartment. The as-yet-unnamed teenage son, who is currently a college student in upstate New York, voluntarily admitted himself to the Westchester County Medical Center following the incident. He has yet to be charged or officially named by authorities.

Friends and family are struggling to comprehend the cruel demise of the couple and their son. Eusebio Baez, a family friend, spoke to reporters about Rivera’s devotion to his family, especially his young son. Baez revealed that Rivera, who worked two jobs, was dedicated to creating a happy home for Kayden and Peralta.

The recently reconciled couple had been separated but chose to rekindle their relationship for the sake of their son. Rivera, well-known for his kind heart and hard work ethic, would frequently stay at Peralta’s apartment, ensuring everything was in order for Peralta after work and babysitting Kayden, as stated by Baez.

The investigation continues, as the shocking incident has left a deep sense of grief and unanswered questions within the family circle and the broader community.
