Dad killed by carjacker who ran him over with his own car

DUMFRIES, VA – In Dumfries, Virginia, a father of two, 37-year-old Jose Vasquez Galvan, lost his life after a carjacker mowed him down using his own vehicle. Galvan was at the Oasis at Montclair, a secure apartment complex where he resided, collecting a package from the leasing office around 7 p.m. on Saturday when the incident occurred right outside the facility gate.

Following the deadly incident, Galvan was rushed to a hospital. While he was at the hospital, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries, as stated by Prince William County Police on Monday.

Local law enforcement authorities have been searching for Galvan’s stolen gold Lexus 300, a 1999 model bearing the license plate number TUW8710 from Virginia. They suspect that the vehicle has suffered damage near the rear left bumper area and the tail light assembly, and perhaps even the rear left rim.

Two stickers reading ‘Baby On Board’ are also displayed on the rear of the SUV. However, despite recovering the vehicle, the pursuit of the responsible individual continues.

This horrifying incident has left the community in shock since the area is generally considered safe. Jean Manuel who has a daughter residing in the complex- believing the gated community to be a safer location for her first apartment, expressed her shock. Anyone with relevant information has been requested to approach the police.
