CHICAGO, IL – A heated argument spiraled out of control, taking a deadly turn and leaving one man dead and three injured in an overnight shooting on Chicago’s South Side. The incident occurred outside Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp in the Armour Square neighborhood at about 3 a.m. Sunday, according to preliminary findings by the Chicago police.

A group of men engaged in a quarrel with another group outside Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp restaurant, which is open 24/7. The verbal clash quickly escalated into gunfire.

A 39-year-old man caught in the crossfire was announced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a 27-year-old man, in critical condition from multiple gunshot injuries, admitted himself to a nearby hospital. The authorities have withheld the identity of the deceased individual.
