Family of four found dead at home in possible murder-suicide

PLAINSBORO, NJ – A family of four, including two young children, were discovered dead in their New Jersey home this week, prompting a homicide investigation by local police. The deceased, identified as Tej Pratap Singh, 43, Sonal Parihar, 42, and their two children aged 10 and 6, were found in their Plainsboro residence on Wednesday afternoon.

The Plainsboro Police Department has confirmed that the case is being treated as a homicide, but the investigation is still ongoing. Autopsies were scheduled for Thursday to determine the cause of death. The family’s home, a blue-painted house on Titus Lane, remained cordoned off with crime scene tape as of Thursday morning.

The grim discovery was made after a relative requested a welfare check on the family. Initial reports suggest that authorities are considering the possibility of a murder-suicide scenario. The news of the family’s death has left relatives and friends in shock, as both Singh and Parihar were known to have successful careers in the IT and Human Resources sectors.

The local school district has also expressed its sorrow over the tragic incident. In a note to parents, Superintendent David Aderhold confirmed that the children were students at Wicoff and Millstone River Schools. He added that the district is grieving alongside the community, but could not provide further details due to the ongoing investigation.

Property records indicate that Singh and Parihar purchased their Titus Road home in August 2018 for $635,000. The Plainsboro Police Department is urging anyone with information or surveillance footage related to the incident to come forward.
