A shooting at Flipper Temple Apartments, an apartment complex near Westside Atlanta Charter School, resulted in one fatality and three injuries on Monday afternoon.
Atlanta Police responded to the incident around 2:30 p.m. at the complex located in the 2400 block of Abner Terrace NW, close to Perry Boulevard. The school, which is currently closed for the week, was not directly affected by the event.
The deceased individual was taken to Grady Hospital but succumbed to their injuries. Atlanta Police Department (APD) reported that three other victims, who sustained injuries during the shooting, arrived at the hospital independently. They are now in stable condition, but further details regarding their medical status were not provided.
Investigators are currently reviewing security footage and seeking potential witnesses to piece together the events that led to the shooting. At this time, it remains unclear how many individuals were involved in the incident or whether any of the injured parties are residents of the apartment complex.
