Five injured after helicopter falls from sky

Emergency services, including police and firefighters, quickly responded to the scene on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). The crash, which snapped palm trees and wedged the helicopter between trees and the pedestrian bridge near the Hyatt Hotel, resulted in injuries to two people aboard the helicopter and three individuals on the ground.

The helicopter was participating in the Cars and Copters event scheduled for the following day. The crash site, near Twin Dolphins and Beach Boulevard, was cordoned off as hazmat teams worked to clear debris and authorities commenced an investigation.
