Florida toddler and two adults fatally shot in argument over dog sale

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday night at a luxury apartment complex when an argument over a dog sale turned deadly. According to authorities, a 3-year-old child and two adults were shot and killed during the altercation. Another victim was wounded in the shooting. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.

The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. when five individuals gathered at the apartment complex to discuss the sale of a dog. An argument broke out in the breezeway between two buildings, escalating into gunfire. Assistant Chief JD Stronko of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office revealed that two men fled the scene in a vehicle immediately after the shooting. The identities of the victims have not been released, and it remains unclear whether they were intending to buy or sell the dog.

Authorities are currently interviewing witnesses and survivors to gather more information about the tragic event. Rachel, a resident of the apartment complex, described the terrifying moment she heard the gunshots. She claimed to have heard about five or six gunshots while she was still in bed, as well as the sound of people screaming.

The relationship between the victims has not been disclosed due to a state law that protects the rights of victims. Additionally, it is unknown where the victims resided. The shooting may have involved multiple apartments within the complex. The JTB Apartment Complex was the site of the tragic incident.

The motive behind the argument and subsequent shooting remains unknown at this time. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who has information about the fatal incident to come forward and assist in their investigation.
