Four arrested in case of murdered “General Hospital” actor

LOS ANGELES, CA – An unsavory incident unfolding in May, which left “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor shot dead after thwarting an attempt at catalytic converter theft, has led to the arrest of four suspects.

Los Angeles Police Department, in a statement, revealed the individuals apprehended on suspicion of the murder- Robert Barceleau, Leonel Guiterrez, and Sergio Estrada, all aged 18. Frank Olano, 22, is being held on suspicion of being an accomplice. Evidence held against them surfaced after dedicated search warrants were executed by the department’s central homicide bureau. As of now, they are being held on bail set at $2 million.

Few specific details about the evidence and arrests have been disclosed yet. Mayor Karen Bass expressed her regard toward the local law enforcement’s work and stressed that the accused must face due accountability for their atrocious actions.

Johnny Wactor, 37 years old, suffered a fatal gunshot as he confronted men attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car after a late-night bartending shift downtown. Despite facing no provocation, one of the perpetrators shot Johnny, leading to his pronouncement as deceased at a nearby hospital.

Johnny, a Charleston, South Carolina native, rose to fame for his portrayal of Brando Corbin in “General Hospital.” His manager remembers him as a “kind soul, a talented actor, and an inspiration to those around him.” The surge in thefts of catalytic converters, targeted for their precious metals, has led to peak reports in 2022.
