On Monday evening, a shooting at Aaron’s Furniture in LaGrange left two employees injured, prompting authorities to take action. Police confirmed on Tuesday that they have made two arrests in connection with the incident.
The LaGrange Police Department reported that the shooting took place at 222 Commerce Avenue, the address of the furniture rental store. The incident occurred shortly before 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered two wounded employees. The victims received initial treatment at the site before being airlifted to other hospitals for additional medical care.
Investigators learned that a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were involved in the shooting. It is believed that the suspects had a dispute with the victims, which was rooted in a previous altercation.
After the shooting, the two suspects fled the scene in a black car. The 19-year-old woman was later located at her residence and detained by the authorities. The 20-year-old man was arrested the following day and is now being held at Troup County Jail.
