Head-on car crash kills woman and child, 6 more injured

NEW CASTLE, DE – A late-night collision involving three vehicles in New Castle, Delaware, resulted in two fatalities and injured at least six others on Wednesday. The deadly car accident occurred at the intersection of Airport and Christiana Roads around 11:30 p.m.

According to surveillance video footage, a Kia slammed head-on into a minivan, causing it to roll over multiple times. The Kia subsequently hit another vehicle, which eventually came to a halt in a nearby gas station parking lot.

The victims of the deadly crash were a woman and a child. The total tally of injuries from the collision stands at a minimum of eight individuals. New details about the total number of involved individuals are still being sorted by the Delaware State Police as they diver deeper into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The aftermath of the accident saw two children with critical condition and a male driver with a broken leg among the victims, while a surviving female driver also sustained injuries.

Further investigations are pending to determine the reasons behind the Kia’s excessive speed before it hit the minivan and other vehicles, along with several other factors relating to the crash.
