SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 20-year-old individual now faces arrest in connection with a tragic shooting incident that claimed two lives at a house party during the weekend, as reported by the San Antonio police. Raul Trevino III found himself booked into the Bexar County Jail in the early hours of Monday, slapped with charges of capital murder and aggravated assault using a deadly weapon.
The somber incident unfolded in the 300 block of Roslyn Avenue on Saturday night, where a heated argument amidst revelry resulted in a deadly shooting. The altercation originally involved a partygoer and a neighboring resident, who, having initially departed, returned to the scene with family members, heightening tensions.
In the heat of the dispute, the suspect arrived at the front yard of the house party, reigniting the argument. Tragically, matters escalated to a deadly level when he brandished a firearm and unleashed a hail of bullets. His victims included a 40-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman, and their 13-year-old daughter.
In a twist of fate, the 40-year-old man courageously returned fire, injuring Trevino and one of his relatives. Regrettably, the man and woman succumbed to their injuries at the scene, their identities still shrouded in anonymity. Meanwhile, their young daughter, injured but stable, was transported to the hospital for medical attention. Trevino and his relative also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were subsequently admitted to the hospital. Law enforcement authorities discovered the weapons involved in the incident at the scene.
This tragic event underscores the devastating consequences of heated disputes and the importance of peaceful conflict resolution in our communities. Investigations into the incident continue, as San Antonio mourns the loss of two lives and prays for the swift recovery of the injured parties.
