N.Y. man accused of sexually assaulting 5 people a week before he was scheduled to be sentenced in prior rape – NBC News
Justin Washington, 25, was out on bail when he allegedly sexually assaulted five people in the Bronx a week before he was due to be sentenced in a separate rape case.
In the Bronx case, Washington broke into a man’s apartment through an open window and touched him inappropriately. Washington asked for a dollar and the man obliged, but Washington refused to receive it and fled through the window.
Washington allegedly went to the apartment of a woman who was home with her 9-month-old son, banged on her closed window, stole her underwear, and sexually assaulted her. There was a complaint filed that stated those details. A fourth victim told police she found Washington in her shower.
Washington allegedly assaulted a transient woman in the lobby of an apartment building and tried to rape her. Police released photos and a video of Washington and offered a reward for information.
Washington was arrested Saturday and charged with burglary, sexual abuse, forcible touching, attempted burglary, public lewdness, attempted rape, and attempted sexual abuse in the Bronx case. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said Friday that it conducted a thorough investigation and had been in contact with the victim’s family.
