BIBB COUNTY, AL – In a horrifying event that has shaken a rural Alabama community, a man is accused of murdering his wife and four children, ranging from ages 2 to 9. The incident occurred on Thursday night in Bibb County, approximately 40 miles southwest of Birmingham.

Brandon Allan Kendrick II, 32, was arrested and charged with five counts of capital murder following the deaths of his wife, Kelse Kendrick, and four young children, all of whom suffered fatal head wounds from a handgun. According to Sheriff Jody Wade, Kendrick is the father of two of the children, with the other two being relatives.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation has taken charge of this case, continuing with the investigation into these devastating events.

Local residents expressed deep sorrow over the incident, highlighting the close-knit nature of their community.
