Man dies in motorcycle accident during memorial for daughter’s death

WASILLA, AK – In a devastating incident, a man passed away in a motorcycle accident while marking the fifth anniversary of his daughter’s death.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, Timothy Hoffman was in the midst of a memorial ride in Wasilla, Alaska, when he lost control of his motorbike near mile 49 of the Parks Highway, according to a statement by the Alaska State Troopers.

Hoffman, who had reportedly not been donning a helmet at the time of the accident, swerved off the left side of the road, causing his motorcycle to abruptly roll into the center median. Both Hoffman and his wife, Barbara “Jeanie” Hoffman, the motorbike’s passenger, were found unconscious at the scene.

Following transportation to a local hospital where they were treated for life-threatening injuries, Hoffman was pronounced dead. The 58-year-old’s wife, Jeanie, wearing a full helmet at the accident, continues to battle critical conditions involving a fractured skull, a broken back, and multiple broken bones.

The unfortunate incident occurred on the memorial of the couple’s daughter, Cynthia Hoffman, who was killed at the hands of her best friend, Denali Brehmer, in a murder-for-hire plot in 2019.
