Man stabbed and shot outside busy mall

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA – A tense evening unfolded outside the Oxford Valley Mall in Bucks County as law enforcement launched a manhunt for a suspect involved in a violent altercation. Authorities reported that a person was recovering from both a shooting and a stabbing, prompting a temporary shutdown of the mall as police combed the area for clues.

The unsettling incident occurred around 5 p.m., leaving shoppers and bystanders at a nearby bus stop in shock. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as a gunshot rang out, followed by the sight of a man fleeing while clutching his bleeding arm.

Emergency responders quickly arrived, securing the area with crime scene tape as they assessed the situation. The victim, who sustained a stab wound to the arm and a gunshot to the elbow, managed to seek refuge inside the mall despite his injuries.

Investigators believe the attack was targeted, possibly linked to a domestic dispute. The suspect, whose identity remains uncertain, was described as a male or potentially a female with long hair resembling dreadlocks. This ambiguity has added complexity to the ongoing search.

For those at the scene, like a woman awaiting a bus, the incident was both frightening and disruptive. Her plans were abruptly halted when her workplace informed her of the lockdown, leaving her unable to proceed to her job.

Police emphasized that this was not an active shooter scenario, aiming to alleviate public fears. They assured residents that while the shooter remains at large, the immediate threat had subsided.

Efforts to identify the suspect are underway, with authorities reviewing surveillance footage despite its poor quality. The investigation continues as detectives piece together evidence from various camera angles in the vicinity.
