Man stabbed in the neck before being hit by a car

PENNSPORT, PA – A shocking series of events occurred Monday evening in Philadelphia’s Pennsport district. In this area of Pennsylvania, a 22-year-old man was reportedly stabbed and then run over by a car.

Authorities responded to the incident at the intersection of Front and Morris Streets at approximately 7:40 p.m. Officers found a young man who had been critically injured with a stab wound on the right side of his neck. The young victim was also suffering from severe road injuries after he was hit by a vehicle.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said, “According to medics, the victim…had a large laceration to his neck and…we believe that this victim may have been stabbed and run over.” Investigators recovered a 4-inch folding pocket knife, stained with blood, from the scene.

In a chilling twist, police discovered that the white Kia, which had run over the man and was still parked at the scene, was owned by the victim’s family. The young man, later identified as Mang Sang, was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:47 p.m.

The suspect reportedly fled the area and no arrests have been made so far. The investigation into this shocking crime continues.
