SPRINGTOWN, TX – In a tragic turn of events, a Springtown man was seriously injured while performing a selfless act- mowing a neighbor’s lawn. The incident occurred on Monday on Ross Lane, leaving Danny Adams with a critical array of injuries after being struck by a car.
Known for his kindness around the neighborhood, Adams was helping out a neighbor at the time. The impact from the vehicle was so intense it hurled him 34 feet across the driveway. Adams has undergone multiple surgeries to address a brain bleed, his fractured hip, and several broken bones in both his back and legs.
Following the incident, Michelea Adams recounted the shocking occurrence, grateful her husband survived such a brutal impact. A nearby resident, who heard the collision and rushed to assist, managed to alert Michelea and the authorities.
The driver involved remained at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the accident, as well as potential legal implications, are still under investigation by the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.
Because Danny is uninsured, his family has turned to the goodwill of the community, launching a GoFundMe page to help alleviate the mounting medical expenses.
Reflecting on her brother’s character, Vivian Steinly characterized Danny as a person who prioritizes service and faith above all. Despite the hardship, the family remains optimistic, propelled by the support of friends and neighbors.
The community’s efforts demonstrate the power of unity and kindness, reflecting the values Danny embodies and now receives as he fights toward recovery.
