Missing three-year-old found dead outside Walt Disney World

ORLANDO, FL – Tragedy struck at a resort located just outside Walt Disney World as a three-year-old boy with autism, Rakim Akbari, was found deceased in a body of water on the property. Rakim was reported missing from the Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas early Thursday morning, which led the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to issue a missing child alert due to concerns for his well-being.

Hours after the alert was issued, officials confirmed the devastating news that Rakim’s body had been discovered within the resort’s grounds. The circumstances leading up to the event are under investigation, with authorities working to determine how the incident occurred.

The boy’s mother, Tarina Akbari, shared her anguish over the loss of her son on Facebook, pleading for public assistance when Rakim was first reported missing and later expressing her deep sorrow. “My baby, oh God, why my baby boy,” she wrote in a heart-wrenching post.

Friends and the community have also expressed their condolences, with many sharing their grief and support for the family during this incredibly difficult time.
