NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – A sorrowful event has shaken the Niagara Falls community after a mother and her young children perished in what police describe as an intentional incident at the Falls.
New York State Police confirmed that the tragedy occurred around 9 p.m. on a Monday night, as bystanders reported seeing people crossing into the dangerous waters.
Authorities identified the victims as Chianti Means, 33, her son Roman, aged 9, and infant daughter Mecca, 5 months old. The family resided in the Niagara Falls region, making the incident close to home for the community.
