Mom shot dead in front of her kids during violent domestic dispute

HOUSTON, TX – Friday evening ended in tragedy for a Houston family. A woman was fatally shot by her intermittent boyfriend in front of her children, according to police. The horrific incident took place on Bird Run Drive, Missouri City area around 7 pm.

Local authorities report a heated dispute between the couple escalating, ultimately handing out the deadly fate for the mother. Police are currently on the hunt for the suspect believed to have fled in a white Nissan Altima.

Family members have publicly identified the victim as 38-year-old Jameka Williams, a mother of four. Two of her children were reportedly with the man now on the run for her murder. The gruesome act was unfortunately witnessed by three of her children, aged 14, 12, and 7. The deceased’s sister, Jaterra Williams, shared a chilling account of receiving a call from her 14-year-old niece on the night of the tragic incident, who shared the traumatic events with her.

According to Jaterra, the relationship between her sister and the accused had been rocky since their high school days. Prior to the shooting, Jameka had been preparing to go out with friends, which reportedly did not sit well with her boyfriend. Family accounts suggest that he had previously made threats against Jameka’s life, though no one thought it would lead to such a catastrophic outcome.

Jaterra, now a victim’s advocate, underscores the importance of taking threats seriously and urges anyone subjected to such situations to leave before it’s too late. She says her niece and nephews are now grappling with the traumatic event and the loss of their mother.

Tragically, Williams’ eldest son, Jayden, shared his mother’s dreams of seeing him graduate and attending his prominent senior year events, dreams that were abruptly taken from her. In the wake of the tragedy, Jameka’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to aid with the impending expenses. Police are still searching for the suspect, who presently remains at large.
