MIAMI, FL – Authorities are on the hunt for two drivers involved in separate hit-and-run incidents that left two pedestrians dead in Miami-Dade County early Sunday morning. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office released an image of a white Cadillac Escalade linked to one of the crashes, seeking public assistance in locating the vehicle.
The first incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. outside the 809 Club on Northwest 32nd Avenue in Northwest Miami-Dade. A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle that fled the scene without stopping to offer assistance. The vehicle is described as a 2014 to 2020 Cadillac Escalade, potentially with front-end damage.
Residents in the area, who requested anonymity, expressed concerns about the chaotic environment outside the lounge, citing frequent disturbances and even shootings over the years. “It’s always hectic when the club closes,” one neighbor remarked.
Meanwhile, in Southwest Miami-Dade, about an hour earlier, another fatal hit-and-run took place. A man was found dead on Southwest 187th Avenue near the Redlands, a residential neighborhood. The initial emergency call reported a man lying on the road, and investigators quickly determined it was a hit-and-run incident.
A BMW was discovered near the victim, but no further details about the vehicle involved in the Southwest Miami-Dade incident have been released. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as both cases are under investigation by the traffic homicide unit.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is prioritizing these investigations, emphasizing the need to swiftly identify and apprehend the responsible drivers. “We need the public’s help to solve these cases,” a spokesperson stated.
Efforts to gather more details continue, and updates will be provided as new information becomes available. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any sightings of the white Cadillac Escalade or other suspicious activity.
