JAMAICA, NY – In Jamaica, Queens, a grim scene unfolded on the evening of July 4. The gruesome incident ended in the shooting death of a 20-year-old man by police. The man is suspected of a fatal stabbing that claimed the life of his 8-year-old brother and left his parents injured.
According to local law enforcement, the mother, 29, managed to escape the 94th Avenue apartment after the violence broke out. Despite her injuries, she managed to call for help.
When first responders arrived at the scene, police officers discovered a tense situation. The father, 43, was being held at knifepoint by the suspect in the kitchen. Despite repeated orders to drop the weapon, the suspect was shot by one of the officers after he failed to comply.
Both the young victim and the suspect succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The mother and father are currently undergoing treatment for their injuries. Astonishingly, an 8-month-old infant present in the apartment during the tragic events was safe and unharmed.
