Pasadena police are actively investigating two separate double homicide cases that occurred in Ranchos Palos Verdes and Pasadena. Five men and one woman have been arrested in connection with the crimes. The deceased victims include Los Angeles resident Jessie Munoz, Jorge Ramos, and Taylor Raven Whittaker. The authorities believe there is a connection between the two incidents.
On Saturday, 32-year-old Jessie Munoz was shot and killed on Angeles Crest Highway in Pasadena. A female passenger in the vehicle was unharmed. Two days later, the bodies of 36-year-old Jorge Ramos and 26-year-old Taylor Raven Whittaker were discovered inside a blue Subaru sedan at Pelican Cove Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. Both victims had been shot to death.
During a press conference, Pasadena Police Department (PPD) Lieutenant Keith Gomez revealed that six suspects had been apprehended in connection with the Pasadena homicide. Utilizing technology, the authorities were able to identify two suspects and a suspect vehicle. The police impounded a vehicle believed to be involved in the Angeles Crest homicide and recovered four firearms during the arrests. The firearms will be examined to determine if they match the weapons used in the shootings.
Lieutenant Gomez stated that the PPD believes there is a connection between the two separate shootings.
