BRANDON, FL – A 64-year-old woman was fatally stabbed in Brandon, Florida. Her untimely death has triggered a manhunt for the suspect that is being conducted by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO). Authorities believe that the suspect in this case is the victim’s son. 37-year-old John Aylor is wanted in connection with the killing that took place on Silvercrest Lane.
HCSO responded to emergency calls at around 4:40 a.m. to find Julie Aylor dead at the scene. Authorities have described the incident as isolated. The victim’s daughter, Kristina Blair, has been left devastated, questioning her mother’s last moments and the motive behind Aylor’s brutal act.
Witnesses reported hearing screams around the time of the violent incident. Residents of the neighborhood spoke with grief about the family, who were well-liked in the community.
John Aylor is now sought on charges of murder and burglary. He is considered to be armed and dangerous. The HCSO and Sheriff Chad Chronister enlisted the public’s help to find the assailant and provide some measure of closure for the grieving family.
