The Austin Police Department (APD) in Texas has released a video of a brutal robbery that took place on Saturday afternoon. In the video, a man is seen being viciously attacked by two individuals who subsequently flee the scene.
The robbery occurred at approximately 1:55 p.m., when the victim was assaulted in an alleyway by the two suspects.
The assailants punched and stomped on the victim’s head before taking his possessions and running northward. One of the suspects from the video has already been identified and apprehended. The second suspect, however, remains unidentified and is being sought out by the authorities.
The second suspect is described as a stocky, Black male aged between 20 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a dark blue and white hoodedie, a blue hat, and light-colored jeans. The APD has also released two close-up images from surveillance footage that shows the suspect in that attire.
The video, which has been edited to obscure some of the more graphic content, depicts the suspects attacking the victim behind a dumpster before fleeing. A third individual, who appears to have been loitering nearby, approaches the victim after the assault to help.
Police are currently offering up to $1,000 to anyone with information leading to the unidentified suspect’s arrest.
