Targeted shooting injures 5, including 3 young kids

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A horrific shooting incident has critically injured five people, including three children under the age of ten, in a residential area of San Antonio, Texas. The attack, believed to be targeted, was carried out on Wednesday night according to local authorities.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar stated in a media briefing that the victims, two adults and three children, one as young as four years old, are all in critical condition. Shortly before 8 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers found five victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims were immediately transported to the San Antonio Military Medical Center.

The suspects, still unidentified, are believed to have driven up to the residence, proceeded to the house on foot and shot 20-25 rounds from semi-automatic rifles. They left the scene right after the firing. Salazar said, “It’s a miracle we’re not dealing with five dead bodies right now.”

Based on initial investigations, it appears that the suspects and victims knew each other, suggesting the possibility of a targeted attack. No weapons have been recovered from the scene as of now.

While the sheriff assures that there is no immediate threat to the public, an investigation into this horrific attack is underway.
