The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. on the 5500 block of Grays Avenue, a location known as Doritos Playground, situated just a short distance from John Bartram High School’s football field.
The victim, believed to be in his mid to late teens, was sitting on a playground slide when the assailant approached from behind and fired nine shots at close range. The barrage of bullets struck the young man in the head, face, and torso, leaving him unresponsive. Despite being rushed to Presbyterian Hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
