PHILADELPHIA, PA – Authorities in Philadelphia are actively investigating a violent altercation that left three individuals injured in a triple stabbing late Sunday night in Center City. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the vicinity of 13th and Walnut Streets.
According to witness accounts, a fight erupted outside a local bar, leading to the stabbing. The victims, aged 19, 25, and 26, were all transported to the hospital for treatment. One victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the arms, another was stabbed in the side, and the third individual arrived at the hospital with stab injuries on the arms as well.
Preliminary reports from the police suggest that a man and a woman were involved in the stabbing. Chief Inspector D.F. Pace noted that it is still unclear if the attack was random or provoked.
He also mentioned that items from the street, like a canopy that was knocked down, may have been used as weapons alongside the knives during the brawl.
At this point, the motive behind the initial conflict remains unknown. Investigators are relying on the numerous surveillance cameras in the area to gather evidence and piece together the events that led up to the violent altercation.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The Philadelphia Police Department is urging anyone who has information about the brawl to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
