Triple shooting breaks out, one person dead

MILWAUKEE, WI – A triple shooting incident that occurred late Thursday night at a BP gas station on 27th and Lisbon is currently under investigation by the Milwaukee Police. A 40-year-old individual was critically injured in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

An 18-year-old suspect, who also sustained gunshot wounds, was apprehended after seeking medical attention at a local hospital. Another 29-year-old victim, who was not at the scene, sought medical help near N. 39th Street early Friday morning.

Surveillance footage from the gas station revealed the chilling sequence of events. Two individuals were seen exiting the convenience store and approaching a U-Haul truck that had been parked at a pump for over an hour. One of them opened the passenger side door of the truck and fired inside, while two other suspects shot at the driver’s side door. The suspects then fled the scene.

The 40-year-old victim was seen falling out of the truck, and a passenger from the U-Haul checked on the victim before leaving the scene. The surveillance footage showed the victim lying on the ground for five minutes, with several people entering and exiting the gas station, but no one offered assistance until the arrival of the police and paramedics.

The Milwaukee Police Department stated that charges against the 18-year-old suspect are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. The police are still searching for additional suspects and have urged anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.

This BP gas station has a history of violent incidents. In 2017, a clerk was beaten to death by a shoplifter. A 59-year-old woman was seriously injured in a stabbing incident in 2018, and a 47-year-old man was shot and killed in an ambush in 2019, which was also captured on surveillance cameras.
